Our Purpose

Our purpose statement is "Preparing Hearts for Kingdom Purposes." Everything we do is based upon our commitment to this purpose.

PRAYER: It is up to the church to pray God's will on the earth. Jesus said, "My house shall be called a house of prayer." He has given his church the authority to release his will on earth through prayer and intercession. At New Harvest, we know that prayer is an essential part of our daily lives. From called times of prayer and fasting, to weekly times of prayer and intercession, we are constantly lifting up the needs of our church, community, nation, and world unto God in prayer. The intercessory prayer meeting of New Harvest Church exists to release the power of God through prayer.

WORSHIP: Our first and greatest command is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind. Ministry to the Lord comes before ministry unto the people. The "first love" is to Jesus. This is the call of every believer. Everyone who attends New Harvest is encouraged to enter the presence of God through uninhibited praise and celebration.

TEACHING AND PREACHING: Declaring the word of God in truth and without compromise is the standard at NHC. Foundational to all that is done in the church is the word of God. The ministries of the church are to train and equip the entire family of God on their level. From our nursery and daycare to every age of child and youth, to the adults ministry is given that is both practical and powerful. The believers are challenged to take the truths they have learned and apply them their everyday living.

FELLOWSHIP: The church is a community of believers. It is a family-- loving and caring for each other. The early church prayed together, worshiped together, ate together, and experienced fellowship. With many events and activities planned throughout the year, those who attend are provided with ample opportunities for fellowship.

EVANGELISM: Evangelism is expressed in our many ministry events and outreach programs. They range from family fun activities to targeted times of ministry. The heart of evangelism of New Harvest Church extends from our local church properties to the surrounding community, and to foreign fields of missions outreach.
