PLAN OF SALVATION: HOW CAN WE BE BORN AGAIN?
Jesus told Nicodemus, "You must be born again." John 3:7 The birth Jesus was speaking of was new life in God. Some call this experience being as being saved.
First, we must Acknowledge that we are sinners. "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
Because we are sinners, we are condemned to death. "For the wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23 This speaks of spiritual death, which is seperation from God.
Secondly, we must Believe that Jesus died for us. "He who knew no sin became sin for us, that we might become the rigtheousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:21
Then, we Confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior. "That if you shall believe in your heart, and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, you will be saved."
Aren't you ready to accept Christ into your heart today? Pray this simple prayer. It doesn't have to be the exact words, but if you want to recite it, you can. The key is to open your heart and life to God. Here goes:
"Father, I need you in my life. I want to change, and I can't change myself. I believe you sent your Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for me. I believe Jesus paid the price for my sins. I ask that you come into my heart, and save me. I repent of my sins. I accept you into my heart today, Lord. I now confess, I am born again."
