HELPING HANDS
Helping Hands is an extension of the outreach ministry of New Harvest Church. Our church family is asked periodically to bring food and household items. We stock them, and upon request, provide them freely to those in need. We occasionally ask for donations of funds. We use those funds to purchase additional groceries as needed. In addition to groceries, we also provide shoes, coats, and sweaters free of charge. As with the food, these articles are provided through the donations of our people. Wiley Thomas has the oversight of the food distribution part of our Helping Hands program.
We provide help at selected times in times of disaster. This may be by offering financial assistance to a relief program, or through hands on assistance. It also may be a combination of both.
World Missions is the heartbeat of New Harvest. We have provided food for feeding centers, medical supplies and clinics for third world countries. In addition, we have donated toys, shoes, and clothes. All of this, in addition to support of orphanages and missions teams providing manual labor for selected projects.
