REVIVAL, REFRESHING, AND RESTORATION

Ps 85:6   Will thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

Acts 3:19-21    So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return [to God], that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord;  20 And that He may send [to you] the Christ (the Messiah), Who before was designated and appointed for you — even Jesus,  21 Whom heaven must receive [and retain] until the time for the complete restoration of all that God spoke by the mouth of all His holy prophets for ages past [from the most ancient time in the memory of man].  AMP

Our God has promised to send us times of revival, refreshing, and restoration

Revive A) Greek: chayah- nourish up, recover, make whole, restore   Refreshing  A) Greek: anapxusis- Recovery of breath, revival; to cool off   B) Dictionary- to renew strength; to make fresh again  3. Restitution  A) Restoration- Dictionary: reinstatement; Bringing back to former strength or condition; A restitution of something taken away or lost

Job went through a season of testing, and he cried out for renewing  Job 29:1-6, 20

Job’s season of testing took his strength and his joy, and he cried out for revival!  Each of us experience times and seasons of life that test our faith- we’re tempted to give up and quit.  But hold on.  Cry out to God.  Refreshing is coming—Revival is coming

A Divine Shift from heaven can occur any moment that will usher in the miraculous and set us on course for Revival!   Peter and John were doing the right thing- prayer.  Sometimes we are doing the right thing, but not doing the right thing right- just going through the motions; no anointing on it, no fire, no expectancy; Doing it because its expected of me- out of duty

There’s a need at the gate that needs you and you need it!  How many times have we passed by needs and have done nothing?!  We are been pre-occupied w our needs; too busy. Sometimes we are calloused & don’t really see or care.  Lamentations 1:12  Is it nothing too you, all you that pass by?- How can we see lost, backslidden, hurting, and not care?  Luke 10:30-35  The Good Samaritan came where the hurting was, took his time to bandage him up… To others, he was a burden- to him he was a soul worth investing in.

The lame man had “stuckitis”  Scripture reference, Acts chapter 3-   I’m here at the gate.  I’ve been stuck here every day.  I can’t move.  Maybe that’s you- not physically, but people get stuck emotionally, sp, fear, worry, doubt. They are unable to get beyond where they are to a place of breakthrough. You may be experiencing stuckitis today, but I feel a momentum shift coming- I believe breakthrough is on its way!!

Refreshing and Restoration is from the Lord, but many times it’s carried by the “cloud” of glory contained in His people.  God uses earthly instruments as carriers of Heavenly Power. I don’t know how many times Peter and John had passed on by w/o noticing or helping.  It may have been that God was purging them in the process of prayer, before they could be accessible for the release of the supernatural. I do know this-  One day, the shift came- Acts 3, verses 6-7  Peter said, Such as I have give I thee.  In the name of Jesus…

A healing occurred, hearts were stirred, and Peter preached Jesus.  verses 11-19  He preached Christ crucified- the blood. He preached the resurrection.

Peter preached Refreshing and Restoration of all things to the people.  That is what God wants to do today. Don’t think its too difficult for God- He can do anything. Some of us are like Peter and John- We are going through the routine, but the fire isn’t there- we are burned out.  We need to experience the fire in order to carry it to others. What has happened to your first love?  Where’s your joy?

Are you ready for a Revival Outbreak?  It will cost us something! It will cost us a return to being a revival people. We will have to rebuild a strong prayer emphasis back in our lives.  Churches need a return to the preaching of God’s word in power. Davidic worship is also a character of churches where revival breaks out- characterized by exuberant praise and bodily movement. There will be manifestations of the Holy Ghost.

Breaking down of denomination, cultural, and racial walls will happen, And, a new passion for the lost will be birthed.

The power of Revival, Refreshing, and Restoration. It will first work within us to renew our strength. It will then endue us with fresh power of the Holy Ghost that will enable us to set the oppressed free, and minister hope and healing to those in need.  Are you ready?  Are you hungry?  Will you obey God?
